PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE
for June 2005
|
It seems like I just got through writing my May message and
here it is June already. We have much on the horizon to plan and
implement in the upcoming months. We are all looking
forward to our ASIST and Rep of the Year Scholarship meeting on
June 9th and the installation of the 2005-2006 Board Members in
September. There are also bylaw amendments coming to the table
in July, so the business at hand is important and significant to the
success of our organization.
You will find included in this
month’s PULSE the nomination form for our next slate of officers.
Please give very thoughtful consideration of how you might
serve or contribute to our organization this next year. If you
are not personally interested in serving on the board, then think
about nominating that individual who has impressed you the most
with their energy, enthusiasm and giving spirit. We have so many
talented and skilled members within our chapter and it is
extremely important that we elect the best people to carry on and
uphold the traditions of EWI. I know that many of you have work
or home conflicts so your time is limited. Perhaps you can
consider actively participating on a committee. We must put the best
leaders in place in order for our chapter to continue to grow and
succeed.
As all of you have noticed, over the
past two months, I have taken the liberty of sharing in my President’s
Message some of my personal thoughts and views regarding some
very important issues that EWI continues to face each year. These
issues are not new to the membership and I hope that I have managed to at least give you a different
perspective on the non-compete issue coupled with a request for your
active participation in the business of our Chapter. I have received some
favorable comments about these articles and it is my hope that I have
provided you with some food for thought. All of you play an integral part
in EWI and I look forward to joining hands and heart to continue to move
us all in the right direction to doing the best that we can for the
EWI cause.
Our June 9th meeting promises to be the event of the year as we will be
honoring our two ASIST scholarship winners and our Rep of the Year as
well. Please plan on attending this very special meeting where we will pay
due respect to these distinguished honorees. I look forward to seeing you
all on June 9th.
