Hello everyone,
This edition of the PULSE will serve as our communication for August and September.
With the chapter meeting on August 21 and the Golf Tournament on September 6, we will publish only one newsletter.
Krissie Heuer and the Golf Committee have worked tirelessly over the past several months to make our annual Golf Tournament a SUCCESS!!! If you haven’t stepped up to assist, please contact Krissie and she will gladly assign you a task. Remember, this is our main fundraiser for the year and, with everyone’s assistance, it will be the BEST one ever!
Sherry Fields and her Programs committee delivered another outstanding program in July with Shelby County District Attorney General Bill Gibbons as our guest speaker. His personal determination to keep our community safe is evident by the dedication of his staff and the many prosecution units and task forces in place. He asked us to petition our lawmakers for stricter laws which would enable his office to accomplish much more. He also talked to us about a special mentoring program involving habitually truant youths that has made a significant difference in participating schools in the community. To learn more about this mentoring program and the work of the Shelby County District Attorney’s office, visit their website at http://www.scdag.com.
